Sabbatical Tenure Benefit

We encourage a healthy work-life balance so we offer our employees a Sabbatical Leave benefit. This paid time off is an opportunity to reflect and rejuvenate and is in addition to holiday and vacation time offered. Tenure eligibility consists of:

Tenure Eligibility:

3 years of service: 1 week sabbatical leave
5 years of service: 2 weeks sabbatical leave
8 years of service: 3 weeks sabbatical leave
10 years of service and every 5 years thereafter: 4 weeks sabbatical leave

Health Insurance

We subsidize health insurance costs — vision and dental as well — for an individual employee and their dependents/family (including domestic partner) coverage. Employees are eligible to enroll in the health benefits on the first day of the month following 60 days of employment.

We provide long-term disability and basic life insurance as a gift to you, and offer short-term disability and additional ancillary insurance should you choose to participate.

Flexible Spending Accounts

Employees may contribute a portion of their payroll dollars into flexible spending accounts (FSAs) on a pre-tax basis for expenses that are not covered by the health insurance plans. This includes FSAs for medical and dependent childcare reimbursements.

401(k) Retirement Plan

We encourage saving money for retirement and offer a company-sponsored 401(k) plan. After one year of service and 1,000 hours worked, you are eligible to participate in the plan. You may contribute as much as the IRS will allow, and we will match up to 2%.

Holidays and Time Off

Employees receive 11 paid holidays per calendar year including their birthday and their work hire date anniversary.

During your first year of service, you are given and limited to 120 hours of scheduled or unscheduled time off. Generally, this time off can be taken after your first 90 days of employment and within the first 12 months of service after your hire date.

After one year, your time off rolls to a very simple policy — take what you need! You are expected to get approval from your manager and keep time off to no more than 10 consecutive days at a given time. The same policy applies to sick leave but you will need to keep your manager informed.

Maternity Leave and Paternity Leave

We adhere to the FMLA, which allows qualifying employees to be away from work for a given period of time, as long as the employee has worked 1,250 hours. More information on FMLA, maternity leave and paternity leave is detailed in the Employee Handbook.

Employee Assistance Program

We offer an employee assistance program that is managed by Unum. It provides employees and their families access to counselors with whom they can discuss home, family, health and wellness and emotional well-being matters. All matters are kept confidential and this service is free of charge.

Employee Referral Program

Employees who refer a candidate hired by BLR Holdings or any company in the portfolio are eligible for a referral bonus payable after a new employee successfully completes 90 days of employment.

Training and Development

We are committed to fostering personal and professional development and promoting from within.

  • Training and Orientation: Newly hired employees receive comprehensive training tailored to their positions.
  • Mentor Program: Newly hired employees are paired with an experienced team member, enabling rich learning and development for both the mentee and mentor.

Company Rewards

President’s Club: Upon meeting the annual sales criteria for all companies in the portfolio, eligible employees are invited on a company paid trip.

Transportation

Fifty percent of the parking fee or the public transit costs for an employee’s commute to work, in accordance with IRS guidelines, is covered by the company.

Business Hours

Our working hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. On Fridays, we offer a perk — you may leave the office at 3 p.m. if your work is done, but you must be readily available by cell phone and/or email to support our clients’ needs.

Dress Code

Dress code is business casual.
